It’s a sort of stone beach, isn’t it. I’ve seen this phenomenon in NYC too, in front of the Metropolitan Museum, and the 42nd Street Library. All the same inviting, gentle and generous design in the steps. Wonderful street scene; the tones are perfect for it. Here are our times.
