A restored photo of my mother, Susan, taken when she was 4 years old, in 1944. I can easily see myself in this photo, especially the nose and eyes – I definitely favor my mom. I am assuming either one of my grandparents shot the photo or it was taken at a professional studio (probably Olan Mills – this looks like a pro-foto). The photo was torn, creased, and substantially faded. I wanted to restore this basically because my mom meant and still means SO much to me. I lost her 21 years ago, but think of her and talk with her every day. I even bought a small bottle of the perfume she wore, so when I am feeling down, I spritz it into the room, and I can smell her.
I love you mom – this is for you. xoxox
(not for sale – this one is just for me.)
