One of the blooms on my African Violet plant. I have had this plant for 2 years and it is just now budding like crazy. It is full of gorgeous purple blossoms with that one single stamen and the little yellow pods. I think I counted 14 flowers. My momma would be proud!!

These little things are SO tempermental! I learned after murdering thousands of them over the years that, it they are happy and blooming, then CHANGE NOTHING ABOUT WHAT YOU ARE DOING TO CARE FOR THEM! LOL! Watering, light, placement. You obviously found the proper formula! And KUDOS to you for it!!

I love these little plants! They are among my very favorite!

And this shot is absolutely beautiful! A fantastic macro shot, well composed and brightly colored. WELL DONE, dude!

  • Many thanks, amigo!!! The only secret I know about these flowers is to water them from below. Dont get the flowers or the furry leaves wet, and make sure the soil is always damp. My mom had a ton of these – she had a very green thumb.

I love it. My mother had a very green thumb and when she passed she had well over 1,000 plants. I now have one of my own (and it has not died yet) and I am waiting until it blooms so I can get pictures of my own plant. Very nicely done.
