Chocolate and Blue Eyes Lost at Sea

Many, a many a time
he had taken his love to the sea
Where like children they played
With sea horses, dolphins,
Turtles and mermaids.
Many photos were taken
By the magic of their minds
She was a lovely creature
Hair of ebony as a moonless night.
Eyes that melted with
Their chocolate invite
These were the times
that their playing
Would stop
When the longing gaze
Of eyes of azure
That belonged to her blond haired lover
Would make her flutter
With butterflies blush.
Now there was only
caring, loving and longing
in their hearts.
One day a winter chilled wind
Entered an opened window
Of her spring
As a dark cloud in the form of a ship
Came claiming him; he had pressing duties
To perform.
He promised to return
And soaked with love and dreams
She promised she would never
Leave the sea waiting for him.
She bravely tried to hold on to that
Treasure she had of him,
Memories of the sunlight
from the azure of his eyes
Time stood still for her
As thousands passed.
Many a day came
And nested
Into her body
Her hair
Her lips
Her eyes
Anchors of forgotten ships
Dug deeper into her feet.
She always wore the beautiful dress
So as to be remembered when he came
The birds, crabs and all of tiny
Sea creatures
Bit her
Clothes,
Her sorrows,
Her illusions.
Her eyes filled with
Two many dawns
Gray seaweeds replaced ebony hair
She had rooted with the Shore.
And time slipped by
The Sea became her lover
.Lost in memory lane
Alone with her soul,
Alone with her love for the sea.

A lone figure that had jumped
From a cloud in the form of a ship
Came running her way.
She looked at the eyes of azure;
The ones that she stared at
Forever and a day
“Look at me my love,
My Beloved. How do I make
You understand
I never left your side
Please come back to me”
Heartbroken he cried.
She smiled with those chocolate eyes
Now blue of late
Full of little forgotten yesterdays.
“It is not you who I wait for
But the one who is over yonder.
He is the sea.
Nobody as beautiful as he,
Eyes azure and hair
As blond as the mighty Thor
With a great pain in his heart
alone he left her by the Sea.

They say there is a lone cottage
By the Sea
With only one window
To fit its one purpose.
For forever and a day
Sits a heartbroken man
Looking at a beautiful lone woman
Who eternally
Sits looking at the Sea
Waiting for the day
He will see her turn around
And finally see the familiar
Twinkle of chocolate eyes
Recognizing him.
