The Tigress

The Tigress

The night has come again
and again I’m feeling the transformation
The animal in me is coming out
What a wonderful, sensual sensation
it is sublime, there is no hesitation, my metamorphosis is pure perfection
For I’ve been worshiped all over the world
and I am wild and free
for no ones slave I will ever be.
In the air I pick up the scent of blood pumping in a heart
my senses have become sharp and keen
The moon is shiny and bright
the time is right and I hit the streets.

No one can guess my secrets.
no one knows where I go or where I’ve been
for a few caresses I will only tolerate
for you know I am very finicky.

I can be like an angel
from heaven sent from above
but don’t try to hurt me
or you’ll feel the sting of my claws.

I could be swift and silent
moving with the grace of a goddess, firing the senses
and that’s when the tigress
becomes the seductress, the temptress

Tonight again I will be stalking my prey
I’m on the prowl, alert
He won’t get away
I caught my victim
caught him off guard
he fell for the lure
I caught my tiger with sultry meows and purrs.

The hunt is done
I’ve made my kill
how powerful it made me feel
my man came willingly to our den with a smile
he knew that coming home to our lair was worth his while.

I am a tigress when I’m on the prowl
You can’t stop me it is in my nature
it is in my soul
I am his sex kitten and he is my wildcat
I bring out the tiger in him
I am an angel, I am a tigress, his kitty cat.

They say I have beauty and grace
I am a feline in disguise
an enchantress by day and a tigress, a temptress by night
A woman with my man wild in my arms tonight.

Tomorrow is another day
the night will come again
my inner animal will be it’s domain
To prowl and seek, its a game we play
For my tiger from my love will never stray.

The Tigress by

.. we all have an affinity we can relate to , don’t we? Since I am an insomniac and I can relate to the moon, the stars, vampires, werewolves and owls, I thought about the tiger and the cat who are really night creatures like myself. I was up practically all night writing my affinity with the tiger and the cat and how my transformation takes place just as in real life I become full awake comes night fall.

This was done for a challenge at the group Lifeline

Love this! We all have that in us don’t we? At least I hope I do…LOL.. I like how you bring the reader into the world of this Tigress…Well done

  • Yes, Pepper, we all have that tigress in us, no matter what age we are. And with your pieces, we sure know you are definately are a very sexy one. Iris

  • Oh, pepper, I’m sorry, but I forgot to thank you. But anyway, you know I always appreciate your comments. But, once again, thank you. Oh, and I’ve got a BIG Virus in my computer which will have to wait till Monday to have it fixed. Thing is that it keeps blocking me from RB. I’m lucky that I was able to get in now.

wow this is great !!! a tigress … meowwww
carefully stalking her prey and pouncing :)
    great work happy feet!

  • Thank you, Shoaib, and I am glad that as a man you appreciate the message I was trying to get through. The tiger is feared, but a tigress is a tigress. She has a lot of tricks up her sleeve. Knows how to get her man and keep him also. Thanks a lot.Loved your comment.

  • Oh, and I didn’t mention that your comment made me smile. A wicked smile. lol

Sensual and powerful, I love how you create your metamorphosis in stages as the reader becomes enthralled waiting for the final stage, seduction and enslavement of her tiger’s heart.
    Wonderfully written. A favorite.

  • Oh, and thanks for putting it as a favorite.

  • I’m must be getting tired, because first I replied in the add comment and then on my reply comment. I think I got it right this time, well once again, thanks. Loved your comment and glad to know that it had you enthralled. And I’m sure you identified yourself with this one, because knowing your soul as a writer and upon reading your work, you are a tigress at heart. And please forgive me. It’s just that I’m trying to beat the virus before it blocks me from RB Iris

  • I think I wrote this as a comment and not a reply. But if that is the case, thanks again. Loved your comment and glad to know that it had you enthralled. And I’m sure you identified yourself with this one, because knowing your soul as a writer and upon reading your work, you are also a tigress at heart.

Wow! I also feel more magical once the sun sets. I believe you and I are lunatics – governed by the moon. lol! Brilliant poem.

  • Why thank you. Coming from you this comment made my day. And I guess all writers in a way are lunatics. lol But, yes, I think you and I have a lot in common. I’ve read some of your work and though we might have different styles, I love the way you think. I don’t think I’ve been more than a month in RB, so it’s taking me a while to put down my poems, because I’ve had too much fun reading other peoples work. Thanks once again. Iris

Well I look forward to reading more! Never rush poetry! I have the opposite dilemma – with my limited online time I tend to focus more on my stuff and less on others – which makes me sad. I could spend hours just looking and reading the works of others. But time is no friend of mine lately.

  • Yes, I understand totally. But since reading is also my other weakness, I start to read and read and my p.c. is soooo ever slooow.

WOW what a brilliant way with words you prowl in the night with a wild sensuality

  • Thank you Tim. I think it just goes with your wonderful poem. It has the same meaning, though yours are a man’s version as he would see a tigress at work. Yours I find to be Purrrfect!!!
