A young girl's face

Artist's Description

As we commemorate Women’s Day in South Africa, it is vital to remember why the 9th of August is so important. Info
Drawing was one of the first means of expression and representation invented by man, when he drew on the walls of prehistoric caves, and it is still extremely valid, both as an artistic representation of reality and as a means of expressing pure imagination.
This is a sort of scholastic and academic drawing which used to be typical of art schools. To copy a print like this offers litte stimulation and does not teach you much, but it provides the opportunity to practise techniques patiently….and that is exactly what I did here. I hope you like it!
