Somewhere, my love

Somewhere, my love,
There will be songs to sing
Although the snow
Covers the hope of spring.

Somewhere a hill
Blossoms in green and gold
And there are dreams
All that your heart can hold.

Someday we’ll meet again, my love.
Someday whenever the spring breaks through.

You’ll come to me
Out of the long ago,
Warm as the wind,
Soft as the kiss of snow.

Till then, my sweet,
Think of me now and then.
God, speed my love
’Til you are mine again.

Like! Very nice blurring of the abstract and abstract realist. I like the little hint of representation to anchor the viewers eye and mind with a sense of place, and the sky that could be water or dunes and somehow functions as all three simultaneously. Lovely light and flow.

  • I love your very inspiring and encouraging comment Regina! Thank you for taking the time to “visit”! ;-)

Elizabeth…Elizabeth…you amaze me. Your art is so alive, and yes, I might be biased, but this is incredibly beautiful. I think I need more of your work in my office… Love the music too…it takes me away to far away places…

  • Wow!! Your words are such an inspiration Maureen!! Thank you so much! xx

Elizabeth, you can take the most simple sense of something and from that simple place create the single most gorgeous work.. I Love this. It causes me to feel all teary. Isnt that odd? But you know… only good tears. Fantastic colors and gentleness to this. Great Work

  • A wonderful and welcome warmhearted comment! Thank you so much Maureen. I really appreciate it! (enjoy the tears, it is our privilege) ;-)
