Lightning Storm by Joe Elliott
This is a photo of a lightning storm as seen from my backyard in North Carolina. The severe storm produced spectacular lightning and I was able to capture this image safely.
Canon EOS-1v, pro film body, using Fuji Velvia 100 slide film, with a Canon EF 28-70mm f/2.8L zoom lens on a Bogen tripod.
The slide was scanned into a digital file using a Plustek 7400 slide scanner.
Bulb Mode, at f/4 and cable release.

wow joe… this is great… it seems we haven’t had any rain in some time now… lawn is beginning to look very brown… and covered with weeds… lol …
this is such a wonderful shot… i have no place where i would be safe… unless i drove to the country and took pics of Danville from the safety of distance.. not worth it… i don’t think…
