This is a photo of a wild Whitetail Buck deer with his antlers in their velvet stage. It was taken at Big Meadows which is located inside The Shenandoah National Park, in Virginia. I was set-up and waiting before dawn with the rising sun at my back and a light wind in my face. This nice buck came down the trail, partially blinded by the sun, and posed briefly for me.
