This is a photo of a wild alligator that we came upon while in The Everglades National Park, located in south Florida. The water is a dark brown color because of the natural tannins found in the swamp waters. He was waiting for us to come just a little bit closer……but we ain’t stupid !
Canon EOS-40D with Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L zoom lens on a Bogen tripod.
YIKES!!! Thank goodness you had a zoom lens!! He is one ugly fellow…kind of interesting how he is brown..perhaps because of the water? Great capture!! Bet he wins a stare-down!
