I live in Lancaster, Pennsylvania a city in the heart of America’s most fertile non-irrigated farmland. And in all of my years here I’ve simply found myself unable to capture the essence of horses. They are ungainly brutes with forms that simply don’t fit into any of the dimensions which I imagine for photographic frames.

So my level of jealousy explodes when I see wonderful compositions like this so apparently effortlessly found and presented. You’ve captured the beasts in a magical field… almost mystically sensing the aura of mystery these animals have shared with us for eons. It’s a wonderful capture Hans. But, I remain jealous.
