Whey!! Beautiful Gibside, Gorgeous capture, wonderful imagery, gorgeous colours, I love that monument and gorgeous reflections. I do not remember the lake, is that new or is it just a gathering of rainwater?

we were on a walk with someone who used to work there, i had not seen this lake before either, we didn’t follow the normal route thank goodness :-)

cheers mate, i took the shots hand held, was not sure if it would work, had sneaked my camera out when i should have been working so i thought taking the tripod was taking the p**s a little too much :-)

i will look into the history for you, i know a little but will wait for a fuller picture, i do know it is 141 feet high and was painted with gold leaf initially, must have been very beautiful

Wow this has such a magical feel to it Mark !! The way the clouds darken the backfground and turns the water grey, against the green of some of the trees that seem to worship the monument as the part the way for it to be viewed without restriction ….... wonderful :)
