As an artist I admit to floating between worlds of reality and perception, peering into many concepts but seldom at home in any. My art work is therefore a scattered and biased report of these journeys. Not the world as it is or as it should be, rather possibilities of what may be.I do not ask viewers to accept these depictions as true or even desirable. Sufficient would be if the viewer turned an eye inward to the parts of themselves represented in the artwork. Here they may scrutinize what has been neglected, never unlocked, over embellished, or conventionalized. Whether they find jewels to cherish or masks to discard, I am unqualified to judge.I can ask that regardless of what’s discovered and whether or not we can love it, that we come to terms with it, and endeavour to acknowledge its right to exist.
