After nearly two years of not doing any art work I accepted and completed a small commission job. It was a guaranteed payment upon completion scenario despite the fact the work(s) were still subject to a paneling process before moving from paper to stain glass. The works were accepted (with some small changes required) and have just been picked up by the glass artist doing the cutting and assembly. Several pieces require face and figure painting and that will be done by a convent someplace in Florida.
The final works are three separate panels 32 inches by 53 inches depicting the Birth, Crucifiction, and the Resurrection stories from the Christian faith. The challenge was to incorporate elements from existing windows and the three stories without the cluttering and gaudiness often seen in many Catholic church windows. They are projected to be installed in a local Methodist church by the end of the year.
