>Subject: Using the Not Safe For Work Filter on Redbubble
>I’m not sure if you are aware, but we have a not safe for work filter option. Images such as your Tea Party and Cabaret Dancer need to have this filter placed as a safeguard for children, people who are at work, and for people who wish to not see nudity in any shape or form no matter how beautifully presented it is.
>I have this morning placed the filter on several of your works, however could I ask you to please go through your gallery and place safe filters on all your images that you feel need it? General rule of thumb is if you aren’t sure, its best to place the filter on anyway, just to be safe. You can place the filter by going to My Bubble, click on your art tab, and then choose edit next to the image. You will find a little box to tick to place the filter, and then you need to Save Changes for the filter to take effect.
>Thankyou so much for your help with this.
To which I replied…..
Am well aware of the button. Thank you for your administration of the works. Figured I would push the envelope a bit. Have a few arguments over this subject but am sure that you wil claim to have heard them all. I hope that in reviewing my gallery that you paused to read the artists statement. Everyday I see much that I do not like. Little if any effort on their part has been done to “protect” me from it.
I will do as you asked since it was asked nicely (although its doubtfull I really have a choice). Have to wonder though how this will affect my “views”.
So you can all rest comfortable knowing that I Stephen Haning, have yet again bowed down an institution that is set on moral policing by default.
We are set in this world in our birthday suits and deemed innocent and non threatening. Our supposed ancestors (for the Christians) Adam and Eve were permitted to roam free and without shame in their birthday suits in plain view of (are you ready for this?) God! This was right up to the point they ate a piece of fruit! Then, only then were they unfit to be seen aunatural?
This puzzles me….either God was/is a pervert…and ashamed…and some higher reasoning stepped in due to someone elses culinary indescretions….or…we have totally the wrong approach on our quests to achieve enlightenment, nirvana, heaven, or path to get closer to God.
I for one have a hard time envisioning anything higher than God/Goddess/Buda/Alla/yougettmydrift.
If They are/were preverted its doubtful we would know any different and who knows what terrible things would be happening to all even if “man” had not eaten.
Children (or thoses that never bothered to grow up)are always the ones being protected from nudity. Funny that experiences I have had (being a child once) and watching others (I have a child and have grown up along side many and am watching mine do the same) children seldom if ever question nudity until they start coming of age (reproduction instincts kick in). The ones that do make a big deal about it are usually sheltered from life itself and/or have parents that have over compensated to one extreme or the other. They fallow by example.
Remember…Adam and Eve saw themselves as unworthy and naked, God did not Tell them that they were.
Nude: without clothing, bare
Naked: exposesed. without protection (from elements, or sight)
Niether deff’ says anything about sex or that it is sinfull.
This as you see is my first written post and am now calming down. I choose to stand here having ranted this and showing my angered heart. I stand here naked before you. I would have rather bared my heart to you as a gesture of where and how I would like to travel closer to The Great Creator(s) of Life and this world what ever they/it may be.
