Morning session at Boroka Lookout in The Grampians, VIC.
This image was shot with HDR in mind as the dynamic range was far too great for the camera to capture. I did use Lee Grad ND 0.9 soft and straw stripe to bring down the exposure. There was no hard done to take an extra two shots incase I needed to do a HDR.
Images was then merged in HDR from RAW file in Photomatix, which was then import into LR to process. As the image was fairly bright (due to HDR processing) I had to bring down the exposure significantly to represent the glowing sunrise that I saw that morning.
Clarity + exposure brush were use to highlight the path and the timber boardwalk as a focal point and the leading line into the image. Export to PS.
In photoshop, the original semi edited sky was mask back to lessen to HDR effect. I am not a big fan of full blown HDR adjustment. The entire image was then soften with a little of glamour glow in Nix Color Efex. Contrast boost. Clean with Noiseware. Final step is to sharpen with smart sharpen.
