It is cold, it is windy, it is very wet……….it is summer in the UK……….and these poor poppy heads are so heavy with raindrops they are almost touching their toes.
A capture from my very wet garden
I don’t really have the right words, but this is positively, one of the most exquisite pieces of art I’ve seen. When I looked at this, it evoked such emotion in me, I almost cried – the tender poppie petals bending under those magical dew drops, and this incredible background. I could write a journal on this alone – so well done. Thank you for your amazing gift to share:)))
Oh Barbara! You have made me go all emotional now! I am so pleased you like the image and if it has an effect on just one lovely person as you, then it was worth spending the time. Thank you so much – Sues xx
soft, dainty gorgeous.. love the color of the flowers and the rain, and also the purplish shade underneath… just beautiful Sue! :))x
Love the droopy effect of the raindrops on the beautiful poppies! Wonderful work!
I spent this afternoon photographing wet and droopy poppies!! Blast !! LOL!! I will now put them on the back burner for quite a while!! Same colour as well!! Spooky!Love the wet droop!Hugs,Pxxx
Stunning image Sue
Pretty much been said Susan, all but a glimmer of dappled light surfaces around these sodden petals of citrus bloom, to emulate a vision of sorrow and reflection of a heavy heart ….Very poignant presense as is contusive with the Poppy.Prominent work SueRick B
Oh Rick! You have a way with words! You ought to be the English language teacher at that school of yours. Reading your words and the methodology behind them is more exiting to me than the comment meaning itself – if that makes sense. And I do love people who call me by my name! xx Thank you for such a wonderful comment – time for bed nearly and I will go happily xx Strangely, you have caught my mood perfectly xx
Colourin up now Sue ~ Hence the dropping of the ‘G’ ~ Sleep well fair maiden and dream the magic that is yours forever ……You make your own words through image Sue but you only have to believe it to flourish…Sp[eak soonRick x
Thank you so much for those lovely and inspiring words – so sorry for the late reply – but you know how it is sometimes! Hope to catch up tonight with you everything xx
Wonderful image, you have made the rain look attractive!
