About Carson Collins

I am a visual artist using mostly acrylic paint on canvas. I’ve been working on something that I call The Ocean Series since 1978. The Ocean Series could be described as a Remodernist response to the late work of Mark Rothko.

Beautiful! Meaninglessness is very hard to say, even in your own head LOL. I love the colors in this :)

Would love to see your paintings up close and in person to see and appreciate the brush strokes. I like the dots of color and light, particularly in the water. The breaking waves, vastness, (and in some of your works, horizons that could be imagined in different places), all take me to a primeval and yet timeless place that could be Earth before life, or a future after life ceases to exist, or anywhere in between, or even another world.
