I am particularly proud of this photo I took of my wife one day in the Edinburgh Royal Botanic Garden. She usually hates having her photo taken, and was under the impression when holding the leaf in the photo that I was only focusing in on the leaf. Upon realizing that I was capturing her as well she was so surprised to see how nice I made her look that she allowed me to keep it.
You are right, this a very nice portrait! I’ve had the same experience many times before, people look their best when they are not so conscious of how they will look. So I always try to sneak in a couple of candid shots.
