Dilapidated Barn and The Grand Tetons WYby halnormank
It took some time to position the camera precisely where I wanted it to match the pre-visualization bouncing around in my head which also included camera height. I was taken with the idea of the mountains eternal (we know better) and the overwhelming transience of man (and that’s something we are all very familiar with). I used the No.25 red filter to take advantage of the ‘bald’ sky to render a stark image.
The camera of choice was the medium format RZ67 II w/180mm Tele and the combination of a No.25 red filter and polarizer. The camera was set for f11 @ 1/8 sec. using Ilford’s Pan-f Plus film rated at ISO-50. The film was developed in Gordon Hutchings PMK developer 1:2:100 @ 75 degrees. That was N-1 development as well as minus agitation to ‘modulate’ the values of the very stark scene.

Man versus nature or nature’s moment versus mans brevity. Nicely composed and well placed zonal work.
Great shot and nice perspective
