This shot resulted from a trip to the Bronx Zoo in NYC. It was cold at the time, so most shooting was done inside. Since it was fairly dark this necessitated the use of the strobe. Even with the strobe the exposure was about a stop and a half less than it should have been but Adobe Photoshop C3 has a marvelous range of correction adjustments. Of course, this baboon sat there most of the time admiring his admirers. (I would have to think he has some kind of ego!).

The camera was the Hasselblad 500C w/150mm Tele and strobe. A No.8 Yellow filter was used and the Kodak Tri-x film was rated at ISO-400 and developed in Kodak D76 (1:1). The camera settings were f11 @ 1/30th of a sec. (exposure was sacrificed for depth of field).
