The day broke crisp, clear, cold, and bright following an overnight soft snowfall of several inches. The eye was completely captivated by this snow covered expanse of a most delicate character, pristene, tranquil, homeric! Sometimes you just get lucky.
The camera used for this shot was the medium format Mamiya 645 Pro w/45mm wide angle lens. The filtering was a combination of No.21 Org + Polarizer. The camera was set for f16 @ 1 sec.. The film was Ilford’s Pan-f Plus rated at ISO-50 and developed in Gordon Hutchings PMK developer 1:2:100 @ 75 degrees. The film was given minus development to soften the contrast and normal agitation to hold the ‘softening’ effect in check.
