Turkey Vulture in flight by

A Turkey Vulture soars above the Cuban countryside.

If a country’s national bird was chosen by size of population then this would be Cuba’s.

The Turkey Vulture has no natural predators on the island, is largely ignored by people and eats just about anything. You seem them everywhere!!

About HadleyWildlife

I’m a wildlife, nature and conservation photographer based in the heart of the Hampshire countryside. I’ve specialised in wildlife and landscape photography for the last 6 years.

My aim is to tell wildlife and conservation stories that have a purpose, not to create fine art images solely for their aesthetic merit. I have worked with a number of partner NGOs in both the UK and abroad to highlight issues to do with our planet’s environments and the creatures that inhabit them.
