Bat on my sunroof
This bat was caught (and brought indoors!) by my cat Thomas (bad cat!), fortunately the bat was unharmed although it did have me worried as it was playing dead. I picked him (or her) up, took it back outside (bad cat) and placed it on the roof of my car out of the cats reach. A few seconds after this shot was taken it flew off never to be seen again.

Bat on my sunroof belongs to the following groups:
As Is, Exotic Mammals, Gaia - The Living Planet, South East UK and United KingdomAvailable for sale as Cards, Matted Prints, Laminated Prints, Mounted Prints, Canvas Prints and Framed Prints

(Bad, bad cat!)
Awwww…he’s cute. Nice shot of his little face and the reflection on the sunroof! (actually that was just feline-nature and he was just bringing you a gift of food to thank you for taking care of him and after all you did get a good shot, so we shouldn’t be too hard on the cat)

Of course your right about the cat Rhonda, he’s a cool dude really, the best cat I’ve ever met! (does that sound a bit sad for a 39yr old straight man?!)

Wow great shot…and brave you for picking it up, LOL…we have those suckers everywhere here, never got that close though!
Tony Hadfield in reply to kcranmer’s comment, 5 months ago
KC, me, brave, I was wearing my motorcycle crash helmet, leathers and two pairs of gloves! He might be small but he probably had lots of little bat buddies who were looking for trouble. Cheers!

Ah, very sweet. Last year my cat Binky kept bringing in bats through the cat flap and then letting them go! One night she brought in 3 I think. I kept the bedroom door closed as I was fed up with having bats flying round the bedroom. But the next morning I found three little (dead) bodies all lined up outside the bedroom door. And on another night she let the bat go and it went under our bed. I was so tired I let it stay there for a couple of hours until it decided to fly out…

This was the only one he has ever managed to catch! Fortunately it played dead long enough to get it out.

Tony Hadfield in reply to trynaty’s comment, 3 months ago
