Beautiful! What type of dog is Reggie? Congratulations on your feature ~:)

  • Helen Akerstrom replied 15 days ago

Thank you for your comments…Reggie is an Australian Koolie working dog. The mottled coat is typical of the breed, but can come in lots of different colours.

Nice shot – nice composition – and it is also nice to see a Koolie – you don’t see a lot of them around!

  • Helen Akerstrom replied 15 days ago

Thanks Helen, No Koolies are not common.

Great photo Helen, I love reflection shots and yes the tall reeds make a difference.
Reggie is great, we used to have a man in the Barossa Valley. S.A. who bred them and did shows etc., He used to travel around in an old Ute with them all (poss.15 or so) in the back and they were all very very obedient. He doesn’t seem to be around anymore and he was getting on in years.

  • Helen Akerstrom replied 12 days ago

Hello Rita, this breed are special dogs. The old bloke must have had lots of fun with so many!

This is a fantastic shot. Reggie is so handsome! Some where we have an article about the Koolies and the man in Australia who did shows for people.
