Ok I know this isn’t a huge amount of snow. Back in MN we would measure snow in feet not inches. But, it isn’t very often that the Sonoran Desert gets snow, so when it does, it’s amazing! The snow is usually gone by early-morning as the sun gets higher in the sky and melting starts first on the warmer ground. Sometimes we can get around 2" enough to close some roads in the desert!

  • Colin it doesn’t happen often. Elevation here is around 2900 feet so when a winter storm comes in the area and the snow level drops to 3500 feet we will sometimes get a “dusting” of snow. Thanks also for the favorite. Lucinda
