An abandoned town . . .
An abandoned buiding . . .
Now this old door . . .

If only this door would tell of the stories of so long ago . . .

~ Of the people and their work.
~ Of the town that was once called Montana Camp for 40 years.
~ Of the town that changed its name to Ruby in 1909 in honor of one Julius Andrew’s wife. Julius Andrews was in charge of the camp store and was the one who applied for the post office.
~ Of the 150 children that went to school in Ruby and over 300 men that were employed at the Montana Mine.
~ Of the the end of operations at Ruby in 1941.

Now as we walk through this door and try to see history we can only guess about the stories.

If only this door would tell of the stories of so long ago . . .

Photograph of the door of an abandoned building was taken in Ruby, Arizona, USA.
