This photograph was taken in Palermo, Sicily. Hanging out laundry is common in all of Europe. Normally you will see a woman doing this job. But here the man carefully hangs out his whites to dry in the sun.

omg. not only is this shot so perfectly wonderful . but it has brought back some amazing memories to me. we always hung out the wash when we lived in Puerto rico . from our city balcony…. I just love this so much ..it has beauty . tradition, practicality and humor too . i love it
