These adobe buildings are part of the Taos Pueblo a UNESCO area. Taos Pueblo (or Pueblo de Taos) is an ancient pueblo belonging to a Taos (Northern Tiwa) speaking Native American tribe of Pueblo people. It is approximately 1000 years old and lies about 1 mile (1.6 km) north of the modern city of Taos, New Mexico, USA. They are considered to be the oldest continuously inhabited communities in the United States. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taos_PuebloAll images are copyright © Lucinda Walter. Very nice capture Lucinda; I have only seen these dwellings in pictures in magazines and books that list world heritage sites; but I have never seen them in real life, and one day I am planning a trip to NM to photograph that beautiful state. Well done. Great image.

  • Hany, NM is a great state to see & photograph. Many wonderful dwellings & historical areas as well as beautiful scenery. Hope you will be able to make your plans work out. Thanks, Lucinda
