A proud father and his son in the back laneways of Mysore, India. I love the way the father is looking at his son, who was initially shy when asked for a photo.
We were lucky enough to be find ourselves ‘forced’ into a sneak tour obviously pre-arranged by our rickshaw driver – and without our knowledge – with a young boy along Mysore’s back laneways. We were at first apprehensive, it turned out to be a rewarding experience, finding ourselves amongst Mysore’s many small manufacturer shops including family homes!
I like the direction the eye takes, first to the boy’s eyes, then across to the father, before following his gaze back to his son who, looking directly down the lens, makes the connection with you, the viewer.
