My first tripod - my first journal

So, I bit the bullet and ducked out Saturday to grab a tripod. Knowing very little – except that my camera work could do with some stability – I ventured down and was convinced (in relatively short time) to purchase the Manfrotto 715B.

It seems the entry level Manfrotto and I ended choosing this over the slightly cheaper brands for the compactness and the ball head. Initial feelings are positive: easy to use, light (I think, I don’t have much to compare with), and the ball-head was very easy to use. I even managed to put the middle pole upside down to get the camera practically on the ground.

Now, where are those lenses I want…

I know it’s pointless doing ‘research’ now but:
Has anyone else got this tripod?
What do they think?
