Thanks. I was extremely lucky to get this: I knew the sky was perfect, so I climbed up over the high wall and started snapping away. About 6am, I think.

A sky to die for… Stunning shot, Guy.
Lucky, that’s all. I tend to think photographers are either lucky, or patient. I’m the former.
Excellent Image Guy. Welcome to the Yorkshire Grit Group. – Ted
Thanks Ted. And thanks for the welcome to the group: it’s a good name for it…

Have done that. Thanks for the tip.
You lucky thing…one of my fave places to photograph…what a sky…a real beauty
Thanks. This was in the very early hours one morning: I couldn’t sleep in the stifling hot YHA room next door, so decided to just get up and out with my camera. The sky took my breath away as soon as I left the hostel, and I jumped the wall into the Abbey grounds (I’m a life member of both NT and EH, so didn’t feel bad in doing so!) and took this one. I was pleased with it…
Amazing shot and a fabulous sky.
