love your highlights on the glasses and bottle. what does offset mean? how is this done?
Gudrun Eckleben replied
Hi Marion, I’ve just printed one ink, let it dry, then used the same place again with a different colour ink, but “offset” (move) the artwork slightly so that it is not directly on top of each other – on purpose. That’s how I achieve the shadow effect. Then with the third ink I do the same process. :-)

This offset effect is really cool; I like that this has the boldness of a print, while also having qualities of something drawn on paper

Absolutely love it! Printmakers are so clever and always welcome at Works on Paper!

Thank you, Peter! Good idea, you just reminded me – I will gradually submit my etchings into that group. I don’t want to swamp them. :-)
