Mexico hosts endless opportunities to shop. Be it for household, commercial, pleasure or necessity, there is a place to buy it.
In this particular market, there are 3 floors, 2 patios, and countless other ‘spaces’ you can find things in.
On the first floor there is fresh vegetables, meat (of any animal you can think of), spices, witch-craft accessories, toys, pets, candles, etc.
The second floor consists of any electronical device ever made, cds, shoes, leather goods, bolts of cloth, and general apparel. But the third floor is where most of the “Special” items are. It is derived of pirated dvds, software, and anything else that would not fit on the other floors. And if that is not enough tucked somewhere between the three is a whole layer of kitchens, restaurants, and other eateries. (none of which you should eat at…)
While these markets are a lively hood to thousands of people, they are being pushed out by more conventional “malls”, and big chain stores. While the convenience of a new mall or large store can be more popular than the traditional market, nothing can replace the history behind them, or the people that make it come to life each day.
