A fruitful town blossoms..
Villisca, the name itself “Pleasant View” was enough to inspire hopefuls
to errect lines upon lines of merchants.
Money flowed in and out,
through hands, through pockets..
prosperous, rich with decadent promise.
A town of 2,500 people, Trains pulling in and out of the depot.
Wanderers, Vegabonds, and people from all classes weaved in and out
of the town. Busy, face-paced.
A town destined for prosperity.
One seemed to stick out like a thorn amongst the rest.
Josiah B. Moore, a successful, man of business..Farm equipment retail
was his line of profession, and performed he did!
It wasn’t just farm equipment, it was the best-of-the-best “John Deere”
Once a Very well-to-do “Bachelor” in the market, he found the love of his life, and
was destined to create a family of his own.
He met her, Sara.
A raven haired beauty.
It was a small and modest wedding.
The whole town gathered to celebrate their union.
Churchbells rang, as the couple exchanged their vows.
“I do.” as they slid the rings on eachothers fingers.

embraced and revered by the townsfolk.

Devotional Josiah never left her side.
The two began to whisper about the pitter-patter of

He blessed her womb full, and swollen.

She gave birth to a total of four children.
Herman, Katherine, Boyd, and Paul.
Every pregnancy a success, and well tended to..
all bright blessings that brought joy into the lives of the merry couple.
From beginning to end, they would still pause for a moment and give
Tucking them in tightly snug into their beds,
kissing them on their heads,
“sweet dreams” she would whisper to them.
The children recited:
“Now I lay me down to sleep,
I pray the Lord my Soul to keep,
if I should die before I wake,
I pray the Lord,
my Soul to take…”
And all a good night…
The hardest chapter so far..
It’s a struggle.
Pity, this is the only thing I could come up with.
