Beautiful work.

Thank you, Helen… I wish now that I would have made it a bit larger due to the interest it has been generating. A note that may amuse you… I tried to submit this as a postal stamp, and the submission approval was denied by the USPS due to the reason quoted below.
Incorporates material the primary purpose of which is to advocate or protest any particular religious, social, political, legal or moral agenda of any person or entity.
I have since submitted the image again, but this time calling it ‘Hot Summer Day’, and it will be interesting to see if it is approved this time now that it does not say ‘Global Warming’.
Now you see why they call me Grouchy ;)

Great work, I am trying to decide, I think I like global warming 2 the best, it would look even more powerful with just the earth and nothing else so one can see that without the earth there is nothing… no where else to run or hide or pillage. Go on, do a version 3 for me!

Your in my head, Carmen!
As a matter of fact I do have a cropped image of this artwork that I made for a bunch of trinkets on my Zazzle gallery. I refer to my Zazzle account as my “Pimp My Art” account, as visitors are able to ‘Customize’ their products there with your artwork.
I have been unhappy with what they do over there at Zazzle with my artwork, and am about ready to just close the account.
As soon as I have some time though, I’ll size up the ‘globe only’ version of this artwork for inclusion in my RedBubble gallery. Right now I’ve got my hands full working on my entries into the ‘Gaia – The Living Planet’ contest. I could buy a newer computer with that money, and really create some great new artwork!

Wonderful! Good luck with the competition, I can’t imagine the artwork you’ll be able to make with a new computer but I bet it will be awsome! As for the Zazzle account, I have never heard of them, but if they are doing stuff you don’t like with your art, then get out asap! : )

This is excellent…very creative…wonderful work!
grouchyolhippie in reply to Jan Landers’s comment, 7 months ago
Thank you, Jan. One of my goals in my artwork is to raise consciousness of the issues we face today. I try to make it a personal point that about every fourth artwork I create has that goal. We are such visual creatures, that often an image will remain in the consciousness when their counterparts in words will be fleeting.

Thank you, Jen, for your wonderful comment. Creativity is a tool of the intellectual used in forging thought in others.

So, the only thing that I would say about this piece is that I don’t like the fact that the earth’s reflection is exactly the same shape as the earth. If it’s reflecting on water, there should be some sort of rounding of the corners, of the earth, on the edge of the water. But other wise, cool work.

Sorry so late to reply… been so busy!
Your quite right, Krista… that, and their should be a bit of vanishing point perspective on the reflection as well I think.
Thanks for the honest critique! Just love honesty!
Grouchy ;)
