This fun piece features a quote from Shakespeare’s “Hamlet” (spoken by Polonius): “This is the very ecstasy of love!”

I created it using a background collage of pages from my own college Shakespeare text, complete with my highlights, underlines, and annotations! A watercolor wash completes the background, and the quote and design elements were done with sharpies and acrylics.

The original now resides with one of my dear childhood friends, but you can have a print right here on Red Bubble!
