Beauty of the Bower

Graeme Hyde

Ulverstone, Australia

Artist's Description

This beautiful male Regent Bowerbird (sericulus chrysocephalus) was photographed near O’Reilly’s Guesthouse in the rainforest in Lamington National Park in Southern Queensland. The photo was taken beside a small clearing where the birds flitted in and out and it took quite a long period sitting quietly and still to get one perched long enough in a sunny spot.
