Landscape Photographer Of The Year: Rip-Off or Art?

This is a growing controversy over this years winner of the Landscape Photographer Of The Year 2012.

For me, this is a difficult one but also, at the same time, feel uneasy about it too. Personally, I thrilled that a B&W image has won the competition and never thought I’d see the day that this would be so! Rather rubs salt into the wounds considering that the only photo that got through of mine was colour!

This is for you to judge and interested on your thoughts.

Apparently, from the talk on the jungle drums, it has been disqualified, which, personally, think it is a shame, but still feel uneasy about the whole thing.

Update: all of David’s images have been disqualified. Not sure about all of this, to be honest. A great competition a wee bit tarnished, I’m afraid. I don’t blame David at all – this should have been checked before it went this far.
