History Alive is on this weekend at Fort Lytton. (June 11/12)
If you’re in Brisbane it’s a great place to get some unique photos, with military reenactment from ancient through to modern times.

In addition to work, I’m now studying full time at QUT, a Bachelor of Creative Industries. I’m really enjoying it, but it does take up a lot of time, and at the moment it’s leaving me pretty exhausted in my spare time. This translates to very little activity on RB and other places around the net.

Macro Reverse Ring
I got one!
Basically it’s a small ring which mounts onto the camera body on one side, and on the other side has a reverse filter thread.
The upshot of this is you can turn your lens around (in this case my 50mm f/1.8) and attach it to the camera, and through some physics hocus pocus, you have a macro lens.
It’s bloody cheap when compared to an actual macro lens.
