Orange Beauty. by Greybeard

A close up of a common Marigold which is known as a Pot Marigold here in the UK, from its use in the middle ages both for flavouring ‘Greens’ when cooking v and it still has many uses in herbal medicine. It is one of my favourite plants as it flowers most of the year and brightens even the dullest day.

I am not an artist but but have dabbled with wood, clay, and paint over the years andand of course photography. My aim with the camea is to only use photo editing programmes to ‘tweak’ the photo, is a fraction too dark or light, to to crop and occasionally slight sharpen to highlight a particular feature.
RedBubble is inspiring, and when I see the quality of all the art produced by its members I realise how much I have to learn.

  • Thank you Shulie, they are a flower which is often looked down on because it was a common herb; but to me their simple beauty will match up to any flower. May this time be a happy one for you, Terry

Very beautiful; the colour is simply gorgeous. I love the way a single petals curls up as though marking a new beginning. Happy New Year.

  • Thank you so much for your lovely words. I hope you are better now. May 2013 bring you Inner Peace and Happiness, Terry
