I am not an artist but but have dabbled with wood, clay, and paint over the years andand of course photography. My aim with the camea is to only use photo editing programmes to ‘tweak’ the photo, is a fraction too dark or light, to to crop and occasionally slight sharpen to highlight a particular feature.
RedBubble is inspiring, and when I see the quality of all the art produced by its members I realise how much I have to learn.

    Wow,,,that’s gorgeous!!!

  • This type of poppy is ‘gorgeous’, but very invasive is you leave the seed pods to ripen. Thanks for commenting Dlouise,
    Terry

Wonderful capture. Love the unique textures and colour combination.
    Congrat’s on your TZ feature.

  • Thank you Kerryn, for your comments. The poppy can be a bit garish so I tried to soften the tone and get the depth of focus, so the the background almost merged with the flower. For once, I think I got it right, :)), Terry

Yes, always ‘tricky’ getting that ‘just right’ focus aka DOF. I find using a prime lens makes this task a lot easier, with the right conditions weather/light, and tech.settings of course. 8 )
Sadly no poppies to experiment with where I live.

  • No Poppies where you live would be the least of my problems. I would swap my climate for yours any day. I loved the month I spent just north of you and sounth in Brisbane. Thanks for your comment re the prime lens The only one I have is from an old film camera and though good is too heavy to carry around unless I am sure I will use it. Terry
