The embattled film director has agreed to act as a character witness for David Letterman.
Something along the lines of “Hey, at least Dave waited until they were old enough to vote!“

Do you realize that one of those staffers that Letterman had sex w/ was his wife? The reporters haven’t done their job. But then, a celebrity sex scandal sells better and lasts longer than extortion.

I think the phrase “One of those staffers” is somewhat revealing. But maybe Letterman was considering a conversion to Islam, or one of those obscure Mormon spinoff cults that still practice polygamy. A try before you buy sort of thing.
