i always wonder what life is like at home with Lou Reed and Laurie Anderson…
do you think they ever sit around in tracksuit pants, eating potato chips out of a bag, spilling Pepsi down their t-shirts, watching The Simpsons, and letting loose the occasional burp…? or is it all pristine, white ultra-minimal rooms, and endless hours of atonal musical experimentation and erudite conversation about post-modern architecture? who cleans the toilet? who takes the rubbish out? i guess we’ll never know….

so you reckon they are both so androgynous and asexual that whoever has the shortest, butchest haircut on a given day gets to “assume a stereotypical male gender role” and wear the trousers and/or strap-on..?
i don’t think Laurie’s going anywhere near the toilet in those white suits.
i suppose they must have minions or acolytes or emanuenses of some kind. can’t picture either of them wandering down to the shop to get a sausage roll for themselves, let alone menial chores around the house… ; )
