Colour by the cable.

Colour by the cable.

Do they still make plasticine? Probably not… another one of those dreadful hazards that modern children aren’t fit to deal with.
Anyhow, this image reminded me of a fresh pack of plasticine with all the colours laid in short cables side by side.

It’s called play dough these days Greg, it’s a much safer alternative to the plasticine we were exposed to as kids. Lovely work, love the lines and colours.

Thanks, Sylvia. Play-dough was around when I was a kid too, thought it was kind of sissy stuff really.
PLASTICINE! IT MADE ME THE MAN I AM TODAY.
    YOU KNOW IT MAKES SENSE.

You know what Greg? I’m sure I’ve seen plasticine around. Not the first choice of parents these days and I bet it doesn’t have the zest of the old stuff! However, I’ve seen some pretty vibrant playdough that’s not far from your colour by the cable (and not too hard to get out of carpet!!).

Actually Gregoryno6, this looks to me like one of those huge hot air balloons. I am sure it is.

Ah, plasticine. I remember that well with affection. It was bloody tough stuff designed for bloody tough kids. Yes, we weren’t like the namby pamby tykes they breed today. Playdoh! Built soft for soft kids.

Oh dear, hang on, I used to cook up playdoh for my namby pamby soft kids.

Feedlot objection finished. Photo of tee shirt coming real soon. Will bmail you.

Yes plasticine was much firmer and harder to handle than playdoh. I can almost smell it..it did have a very distinctive smell!
Great colours you’ve got here, they have a nice floating feel.

Wow Greg! Very cool and colorful! I spent many, many hours as a child at my Granny’s playing with pasticine. They still have it around and it’s still WAY better than that stupid play dough that dries up and falls into a million annoying little pieces!

Thanks everyone, I appreciate your comments. But I don’t understand why this image attracts so much attention when something like Majesty, which I personally consider a more interesting and active fractal, is more or less ignored by comparison.
    Was plasticine the magic word?

What a beautiful piece of work. They still make plasticine.

Actually, your creamy body brightens my day, like I never even thought possible from sticky cotton candy. My husband is going to be out of town next week, wanna party?

Yes, plasticine was definitely the magic word, although I wasn’t all that fond of it as a kid – it made my hands feel yucky!, Playdough is certainly nothing like plasticine.

I love your vivid colours, they remind me of bolts of cloth in primary colours, just waiting to be made into something magical.

Well, this one certainly seems to have some magic in it, top of the fractal hit parade since I posted it!
