Here it is…

It has been an amazing year since I picked up the camera seriously back in January 2008. I constantly look back at my images and wonder… “Have I progressed?”.

Progression to me is not just the technical side of the image, but also the concept and execution of these images. I take photographs as an artistic release, not as a commercial enterprise. My photography is some-what of a ‘hit-n-miss’ venture as I contantly try new styles and explore new techniques. My photographic expressions are always an exciting joint effort with the people I work with on the day of the shoot and I totally enjoy the creative table tennis of flushing out ideas.

Being self taught, I’m still learning about the technical side of photography. I was only explained about a month ago what camera ‘f stops’ actually do and that was a revelation in itself.

More recently I have noticed in my images that I have been focusing on much simpler ideas with more emotive expression.

I have had the pleasure of working with so many talented people over the last year. With all the MUA’s, models and other photographers I have collaborated with, I have not encounted a single person with a self-centered ego or an unbearable attitude. Without these wonderful people I could not have expressed through my images the multitude of concepts that seem to constantly pour from my exploding head.

I’m not the best at thanking everyone that adds me to their watchlist so to all those ‘watching’ people I thank you for your support.

I look forward to the next year of discovery and creative calloboration.
