I spent a few hours working on this shot. It comprises of 2 offset hue and saturation layers on the guitar and another layer for the guitarist using Photoshop CS.
The guitar is a Yamaha SC400, I replaced 2 of the original 3 pickups with Humbuckers which has improved the top end performance and given a wider tonal range.
