Dove Valley from Thorpe Cloud by

Thorpe Cloud is a small hill on the Derbyshire and Staffordshire border, England. This shot was taken from the top of Thorpe Cloud and shows the River Dove as it meanders down the valley between Bunster Hill (opposite) and Thorpe Cloud. The River Dove is the border between Derbyshire and Staffordshire from it’s source near Flash until it joins the River Trent near Burton upon Trent.

I have to thank Dave, from nearby Waterings Farm, who helped me carry my camera and video equipment up the hill. Waterings Farm is just behind the clump of trees that can be seen on the horizon on the left hand side.

The shot comprises of 6 photos stitched together using Photoshop.
