Storm chasing near to home, a quick dash across the Hornibrook Highway allowed for a great vantage point in Redcliffe facing back toward Brisbane and Brighton.
For the tech curious, ISO100, 19mm f/5.6 1/2sec. Usually my bulb exposures are significantly longer duration but here I was still setting up and manually focused, just in time to hold the shutter down for the lightning strike. Brisbane is currently having daily electrical storms so the chase season has officially kicked into overdrive after a long dry patch.

fantastic capture
Love that cloud behind the main bolt.
yeah that cloud had great structure, it was quite a violent storm cell.
