a broken shutter plane!
The D70 is on its last legs. The shutter has clocked over 60,000 images in the three years I have been using it and I doubt the cost of repairs makes this worth saving. With the new D3 Nikon flagship announced for a November release in Australia I need to scrape together at least $5500 (guessed at its price) so I can make best use of my older, wider full frame lenses. That and I REALLY want to make full use of its ridiculously high ISO range :)
This issue is the cause for my recent upload of a few of my old sketches and airbrush artworks and I will trawl through my collection to find more of my work I can sell without the need for model releases. (though whether those are required for straight prints sold by me… I’m not so sure)
I’m also waiting to see if I score work with the government shooting wildlife and official events and helping manage their neg library the way I used to at the news paper.
